have the people who had LDoA the old way have it changed to:
"I suck so much that charr would kill me for hours straight all night long, and this for several months, without caring for the ludicrous elecric bill, of Ascalon"
of course it would be forced on display because people would be so damn proud of it...
same with "I turned in all my kath hammers or mashed "8" before the embark update"
I mean... those were such awesome achievements, people just deserve the credit...

I got LS and Drunkard the good old fashioned way and I am certain nobody playing cares. It is all irrelevant. The titles changed so GW players had something to return for. Play the game if you are enjoying it. If not, delete it off your hard drive and do something else. I have yet to have a single other players actions affect my PVE play to any importance. It is a game, not a military uniform.

I find it sad that anyone would care as much to actually want to look this up upon seeing another player with a title on.
I get teh whole epeen concept for exceptionally rare skins etc but i just dont understand the amount of whining people are doing because they think some titles got easier and its not fair on them/veterans/oldskoolers.

I don't have anything against the idea itself, but people would never use this command (or even hear about it).

I would guess the Guild Wars 2 Legacy is what caused them to change the titles. That's now two more statues per person that are much easier to obtain.

The only thing I would do is applying a time stamp to titles.
More that just getting it, being the first one that got it has more merit.
But since it's too late to add such timestamp in GW1, it should be left for GW2.

and this comes from someone who already did the alc title the old fashioned way (as in, I clicked every one myself, didn't use a program, didn't do the zone trick, no timer)
they changed the title to fix something they didn't like, so they are certainly not going to go back on that
also, I very much doubt the game has a way of distinguishing who got their alc and ldoa title which way

LOL.
As an IAH (the old way) why would I care how I got it? I just did it for GWAMM not because it shows how good/bad/committed I am. Also, why the hell would anyone else care how I got it enough for them too look it up?
It's not like i'm gonna get into a heated argument about what method I used to drink pixellated beer which can only be solved by a /drunk...
This is even more daft than the idea of splitting the titles.

You say you did it for GWAMM, what is the meaning of GWAMM to you then? I hope it was not to show how "good/bad/committed" you are.

no way.
would you then add /hammers and /kilroy as well to check survivors?
/keyspurchased to check Z titles?
/leached to check EotN rank?
Honestly now.. I am the only one that should care about how I did anything.

With this reasoning I suppose we should not care about gold buyers and botters either.
Why should we care how botters consistently rupt 1/4 spells?
The fact of the matter is people do care.

Hyperbole and generally inaccurate comparisons don't sway an argument in your favor.
